I paint portraits in oils of people focusing on family members commemorating special events in their lives such as employee promotions or commemorations, weddings, graduations, and memorials. These paintings I hope will become heirlooms in peoples families (thus the name "Heir" painter) to remember the important people in their lives for whatever reason so the younger generation can learn about them through the conversations and stories prompted by these portraits.
As you can see by my gallery, I also paint nudes. No porn, just beautiful women tastefully done. To quote the artist Harbraken, "...the naked body of a woman is the most marvelous subject a brush can depict." And I will add: 'if it is done well, and with respect toward the beauty and intelligence of woman'.
I'm looking to do portrait commissions. I'm very old fashioned in my methods:
First, I have no prints available yet but I'm working on how to get set up to do this. So, send me a favorite (copy of a) photograph of the family member or employee/boss etc. you wish to have painted in oils. When I'm finished. I WILL send BOTH the photograph and the carefully boxed portrait back to you via, UPS or other carrier. I understand the value of important photographs especially if it's the only one you may have. Send it to me by certified mail and I'll make every effort to ensure you get it back again by certified mail. For details, sizes and pricing info, contact me @ philliplouishill@gmail.com. I have no website yet. Thank you. --Phil Hill
